Angels’ Ten-Year Plan to Net Zero
From our 2025 baseline to our 2035 goal, Angels Care Solutions is working to reduce avoidable carbon emissions and embed more sustainable choices throughout our organisation.
OUR COMMITMENT
A practical route towards Net Zero
As a care provider, we recognise the need to reduce our environmental footprint while continuing to provide safe, reliable and person-centred support.
Our plan is to assess and monitor emissions across our operations, establish annual reduction targets and make sustainability part of everyday decision-making.
We aim to reduce reported emissions from 23.5 tCO2e in 2025 to 18.0 tCO2e by 2027/28. This represents an approximate reduction of 23%.

MEASURING OUR IMPACT
Our 2025 emissions footprint
Our published total covers selected sources across direct emissions, purchased energy and other activity in our value chain.
Scope 1
4.4 tCO2e
Direct emissions from company vehicle fuel.
Scope 2
9.4 tCO2e
Purchased energy and utilities, including gas, electricity and water supply.
Selected Scope 3
9.7 tCO2e
Employee travel and waste disposal included within the current plan.

ACTION ALREADY TAKEN
Reducing waste and energy use
Efficient lighting
Energy-efficient LED lighting, staff awareness activity and motion-activated lighting systems have formed part of our initial programme.
Waste and plastics
Waste separation and recycling facilities have been introduced, alongside work to remove single-use plastic utensils and packaging.
Reducing food waste
Catering is planned more carefully, with suitable surplus directed to foodbanks and shelters where possible.

Planned areas of improvement
Our roadmap will be reviewed as policy, technology and operational needs change.
- Move towards lower-emission and electric fleet vehicles at renewal
- Reduce avoidable travel through appropriate virtual meetings
- Continue the transition to digital care records and administration
- Apply sustainability considerations to procurement and suppliers
- Encourage active travel where practical
- Use verified carbon projects for unavoidable emissions from 2026
ACCOUNTABILITY
Monitoring and reporting our progress
We will monitor emissions and review targets annually. Our plan draws on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard and the UK Government’s carbon reduction plan guidance for public procurement.
