OUR POSITION

Zero tolerance of exploitation

Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking. It is a serious crime and an abuse of human rights.

Angels Care Solutions Limited has zero tolerance for modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our organisation or supply chains. We expect the same standards from the people and organisations with whom we work.

Our annual turnover is below the threshold at which publication is required under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We publish this statement voluntarily because responsible employment, ethical recruitment and safeguarding are fundamental to the services we provide.

Our organisation and supply chains

Angels Care Solutions Limited provides care and support services. Our work depends on a skilled workforce and on suppliers of goods and services that may include recruitment, training, technology, professional services, uniforms, equipment and other operational supplies.

We recognise that labour-intensive services, agency or temporary work, recruitment arrangements and extended supply chains can present heightened risks if they are not properly scrutinised.

Our commitments

  • Treat workers fairly, lawfully and with dignity and respect.
  • Do not tolerate forced labour, human trafficking, coercion, deceptive recruitment or the withholding of identity documents.
  • Undertake appropriate pre-employment and right-to-work checks.
  • Maintain routes through which staff can raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
  • Respond promptly and sensitively when exploitation is suspected.
  • Consider labour and human-rights risks when appointing and reviewing relevant suppliers.
  • Cooperate with statutory agencies and safeguard any person who may be at risk.

Policies and governance

Our approach is supported by policies and procedures covering safeguarding, recruitment, equality and diversity, whistleblowing, staff wellbeing, training, health and safety, good governance and quality assurance.

Senior management is responsible for promoting these standards. Managers are expected to respond to concerns, preserve confidentiality where possible and escalate safeguarding or criminal concerns through the appropriate channels.

Recruitment and our workforce

Our recruitment processes are intended to confirm identity, eligibility to work and suitability for the role. We do not support recruitment practices that place workers at risk of debt bondage, coercion or unlawful fees.

Workers should understand their terms and how to raise a concern. No one should suffer detrimental treatment for reporting a concern in good faith.

Suppliers and due diligence

We take a proportionate, risk-based approach to supplier due diligence. Where the nature of a contract, workforce or supply chain presents greater risk, we may seek additional information, contractual assurances or evidence of the supplier’s own controls.

If a supplier fails to address a serious concern, we will consider appropriate action, taking account of the safety and interests of any potential victim.

Training, monitoring and improvement

We will continue to strengthen awareness of modern slavery indicators and reporting routes within relevant safeguarding, recruitment and management activity.

Our management team will review the effectiveness of this approach and consider evidence including concerns raised, action taken, relevant training and higher-risk supplier checks. This statement will be reviewed at least annually.
