Support throughout your role

Care workers need the knowledge, guidance and practical support required to carry out their responsibilities safely and confidently.

Induction

New staff receive an introduction to the organisation, their responsibilities, working practices and the standards expected in their role.

Training

Learning can include mandatory, refresher, specialist and role-specific training according to responsibilities and the people supported.

Supervision

Regular supervision provides an opportunity to discuss practice, wellbeing, development and any support needed.

Development

Training depends on the role and may include induction, mandatory learning, refresher training and specialist development appropriate to the people supported.

Roles involving regulated care are normally subject to the appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service checks and other safer-recruitment requirements.
